I totally agree!! I loved that you actually had choice and suffered or succeeded based on those choices. Thanks for your comment

The relationship dynamics are the best I have ever seen, and I felt broken hearted seeing the person I care die — in the game’s first season!

Great post! Keep up the good work.

Comment on iOS Version Statistics – January 14th 2013 by Sylvain https://www.14oranges.com/2013/01/ios-version-statistics-january-14th-2013/#comment-46 Fri, 25 Jan 2013 23:48:28 +0000 https://www.14oranges.com/?p=1582#comment-46 In reply to trusktr.

Hi,

Yes we do it through an app. The app is available for 4.0 and above so we don’t track anything before that. The app requires background support and if my memory serves me right, that wasn’t made available until 4.0.
Moreover, the app is predominantly an iPhone app (85% of users) and has a nice distribution of users from different countries (USA, France, Canada, China, Russia, Germany, and others).
Our sample pool is not very big but enough to be a valid base. We are not statisticians so I cannot comment if the pool is statistically significant or not.

Sylvain

Do you do it through an app? If so, is the app available for older versions not on this pie chart?

Hi Ryan,

Sorry I forgot to reply. We get our stats from an app that we have deployed. Our sample pool is not large but enough that it gives you a decent feel for what’s out there. Our app is being used in many countries by a wide audience of users as well. We have also correlated the data with other surveys (more standard type) we have done and they basically match. We will also be adding other app to the pool in the near future so accuracy will improve over time.

Cheers,

Just have a couple of questions:

Where do you get your poll statistics from?

How many large is your sample of people?

Thanks,

Ryan
